SUPPORTERS of East Lancashire CND staged a peaceful protest in the centre of Burnley on Saturday.
The event was to remember the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the more recent victims of the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan.
Members gave leaflets to shoppers in St James’ Street, before staging a commemoration in the Peace Garden.
