A TEAM of 10 Burnley council workers will take on a 60-mile nighttime bike ride to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Employees from Burnley Council Leisure Services department, aged between 29 and 53, have signed up to the event, which starts on the night of Saturday, September 17.
It is part of a series of new night rides across the UK launched by the heart charity to raise vital funds for the Mending Broken Hearts appeal.
Paul Foster, team member, who is based at St Peter’s Leisure Centre, said: “We are really excited to be taking part in this first night ride the BHF is staging in the area.”
Night riders will gather at the Trafford Centre from 11.30pm travelling through Wigan, Bolton, Chorley, Preston and Lytham St Annes to Blackpool.
