A BLACKBURN mother has spoken of her anguish at ret-urning alone from Turkey after a two-month custody battle with her estranged husband.

Anisa Khansia, 29, was visiting 22-month-old son Amani’s grand-parents when a bitter fight over the child broke out.

But, after a battle with Amani’s dad, Mehmet Baki Sakaraglu, she said her son has been snatched away from her.

She now has no idea where he is, but has had to return to the UK to mount a legal case to win back her son.

Speaking from her home in Little Harwood, she said: “It is horrible.

“What has happened to me is every parent’s worst nightmare.

“I can’t stop crying because I don’t know if he is all right.

“I had no choice other than to come home.

“I am getting the paperwork together and proving that I am a good parent and my son must be with me.”

She said she took Amani to the Turkish resort of Marmaris at the beginning of July so her husband could see him.

But she said a series of disputes had then started.

She returned to Blackburn yesterday morning and has not seen her son since before the weekend.

She said she believes that he has been taken to a village away from the resort by her husband’s family.

Mrs Khansia said: “I have been told I will never see him again by the family.

“I have been searching and I have been calling them, but I do not know where he is.”

But Mr Sakaraglu, who has appeared on Britain’s Got Talent under the stage name of Ali Baba, has spoken out over the battle to Turkish newspapers, giving a different version of events, and claiming she is an unfit mother.

The Foreign Office has been notified of the dispute.

A spokesman said the matter was ‘contentious’ and that a police investigation was ongoing.

The couple married three years ago after meeting on holiday a year before.
