VANDALS have been targeting Hyndburn Stray Dogs In Need’s charity shop in Accrington.

The charity said its waste bins have been moved or stolen ahead of collection, with rubbish emptied out on to the ground during the latest incident last Tuesday night.

A spokesman for the charity said: “Because the binmen come to the town centre so early in the morning we have to leave the bins out overnight, which is the problem.

“The last few weeks people have been rooting through them, moving them and emptying them.

“We have to go around picking it all up and then our bins do not get emptied.”
