A BUSINESSMAN has been charged with the murder of his wife in Turton.
Ian Workman, 57, of Vale Street, Turton, was re-arrested today by Lancashire Police and charged this evening.
He is accused of murdering his wife Sue Workman, 55, who was found stabbed to death at her detached farmhouse in Plantation Road, on April 7.
She died from a single stab wound to the chest.
Workman was originally arrested at the time, then released pending further inquiries.
He is well known in the area for running car dealership firms.
He will appear at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
