COMMUTERS are experiencing delays on trains between East Lancashire and Manchester this morning.
Northern Rail said a track circuit failure led to a train being unable to leave Darwen station at around 8.15am.
Because the train had become stranded, subsequent journeys have also been delayed or cancelled.
The problems are expected to be cleared by 11.30am.
