A FANCY dress walk from Blackburn to Preston helped raise around £800 for the Lancashire Telegraph’s Raise the Roof appeal.
Caroline McAuley, 32, and five friends embarked on a 17-mile trek to support the campaign, which aims to raise £125,000 to build a new roof over the inpatients unit at East Lancashire Hospice.
The fundraisers completed the sponsored walk in fancy dress, with the mum-of-one, from Blackburn, dressed as Snow White.
Collecting donations along the way, the group then returned to their start point at The Alexandra pub for a fundraising night, which featured a free buffet, DJ and a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
