FOUR East Lancashire councils have joined forces in the fight against night-time noise nuisance.
Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn, Pendle and Rossendale Council’s have come together to create the Pennine Lancashire Night Time Noise Service where residents suffering from noise pollution by their neighbours can report the problem immediately.
The service operates Fridays and Saturdays 8pm to 3am and on Sundays preceding bank holiday Mondays from 9pm to 1am.
For new noise complaints the details will be taken, advice given and the call will be passed to the appropriate council on the next working day, while officers will be dispatched to ongoing complaints to assess the level of nuisance.
