A MEETING to decide whether paedophiles and sex offenders will be housed in an Edenfield care home just 500 yards away from a children’s play area will be held tomorrow.
Bosses from the Langley House Trust which runs Chatterton Hey House, in Exchange Street will be meeting with representatives from the police and probation service to set the entry criteria for future residents.
The Langley House Trust charity hoped to open its doors to low level sex offenders and child rapists as part of their ex-offender rehabilitation programme where they would be managed with therapy.
However, local residents have been outraged by the plans and have vowed to do everything they can to fight them.
