THE BOSS of a Burnley firm renowned throughout Hollywood said the town must concentrate on promoting its engineering and manufacturing.
Mark Crabtree, managing director of audio-engineering firm AMS Neve, said: “This country is intensely snobbish about industry.
"In Germany, if you’re an engineer you’re treated with respect but that’s not the case here.
“Burnley should promote itself as an engineering and manufacturing town.”
AMS Neve, based in Billington Road, Burnley, supply audio equipment to the majority of Hollywood’s biggest films including the King’s Speech and Avatar.
