A BUDDING chef from Blackburn had a taste of success for a second time.
Jake Scott, a pupil of St Bede’s RC High School, was awarded first place at the Young Chef Awards held at Blackburn College.
Jake was also named young pastry chef of the year back in November.
His latest award came at the college ’s Young Chef Club, where he created a series of culinary delight in the kitchens of Scholars restaurant, under the expert guidance of head chef Ian Sutherland.
The Young Chef Club met over four consecutive Saturday mornings and was set up to help inspire young talent.
Jake said: “I’ve always wanted to be a chef and I found out about the Saturday morning sessions from my Food Technology teacher Miss Preedy.”
