East Lancashire’s mystery millionaire has just one day left to claim their lottery windfall.

Somebody is sitting on a £1million bounty – but the lucky punter is yet to collect their winnings.

And if they do not come forward by tomorrow, the money will be lost forever, automatically transferred to the Good Causes charitable fund instead.

The National Lottery has urged players to once again check their tickets in case they are one of three missing millionaire winners.

They each won £1 million in the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle draw on November 12.

East Lancashire’s winning ticket was said to have been bought in the BB postcode area – which covers Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn, Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale and Ribble Valley.

The other missing winners remain in Stoke-on-Trent and the London borough of Ealing.

A fourth winner, from the Arun District Council area of West Sussex, has claimed their prize.

The outstanding winners may not realise they struck lucky, because when you buy a EuroMillions ticket you are automatically entered into the Millionaire Raffle, which guarantees a £1million winner in the UK each week.

However, on November 12 the National Lottery launched a special draw, which gave away 10 £1million prizes.

The Millionaire Raffle code relating to the 'Blackburn' ticket is WCT876099.

The winning ticket-holders have until 5.30pm on May 11 to make their claim.

A National Lottery spokesman said: “Somebody is sitting on a one million pound prize.

“There are only a few days left now before the deadline and we are getting towards the last chance for the ticket holder to come forward.

“We would urge everyone to please check their tickets, and if you do have it, to make sure you are on the phone to us with the ticket in your hand before 5.30pm on May 11.”

The National Lottery telephone line to redeem a winning ticket is 08459 100 000.
