A 30-year-old man was yesterday being treated for back injuries after police said he jumped from a balcony at his home.
Emergency services were called to a block of flats in Yeadon Close, Accrington, at 3.25am yesterday after the man jumped and landed on the balcony of a flat below.
Firefighters used an aerial ladder platform to help paramedics getting to man, and also helped to manouever the stretcher down a narrow staircase.
The man was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with back injuries.
A police spokesman said: “The man jumped off the balcony and was found conscious and breathing.
“There are no suspicious circumstances.”
