SIX thousand extra people visited Burnley’s main shopping centre in the week after the opening of a new discount store, according to a boss.
Charter Walk general manager Chris Gribben said 99p Stores, in the former Woolworths unit, had boosted trade.
London-based Addington Capital, which bought Charter Walk earlier this year, has promised investment.
