A TEENAGE burglar has been sentenced to 40-days in custody after he was caught red-handed.
Burnley magistrates heard how Lee Nolan, 18, had a long criminal record but was not violent or aggressive.
Nolan, of William Street, Nelson, admitted burglary on August 10.
Richard Taylor, defending, said the probation service had tried to help Nolan in the past, but had not succeeded.
Mr Taylor said: "Maybe he's a little immature. He says he couldn't argue with custody.
"He says he deserved it. He accepts he is going to have to stop offending at some stage.
"He tried to join the army but they wouldn't have him."
