MOUNTAIN rescuers were on hand to help ambulance crews this morning after a man suffered a cardiac arrest on a rural farm in Rossendale.
The emergency services were called to the farmhouse in Hurst Lane, Rawtenstall, at around 10am.
Andy Simpson, team leader of Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team, said: "We were called to the farm to assist the ambulance crews as it was up a dirt track."
The man was taken to Fairfield Hospital in Bury via land ambulance.
