STUDENTS can get a sneak preview of Blackburn College’s £18 million teaching centre through its live webcam.
The view of the Beacon Centre’s development is captured from 5th floor of the Feilden Street development and provides a minute by minute update of the building works.
A number of viewing windows have also been installed in the hoardings to allow everyone to see what is happening on site.
The new £18.3 million Beacon Centre will provide teaching space for courses in creative arts, fashion and textiles, photography, childhood studies, health and social care and public services over five floors.
Ian Clinton, principal at Blackburn College, said: “We wanted students, staff and the public to have the opportunity to follow the centre’s progress so we installed a webcam, which can be accessed online.”
The building will be operational in January.
