A BLACKBURN high school has proved it has outstanding elements to education watchdogs, Ofsted.
Pleckgate High School Mathematics and Computing College impressed inspectors who rated the school as good with outstanding features.
Inspector Michael Maddison said: “Senior leaders and governors provide a vision which is clearly focused on equipping students with skills and aspirations to succeed in adult life.
“As a result, students have positive attitudes to school, their attendance is above average and they enjoy their learning. They feel very safe, cared for and valued.”
Ofsted noted that parents and carers were very supportive of the school and found the school has continued to improve since its last inspection.
Headteacher Robin Campbell said, “We’re really pleased that our challenging targets, hard work and commitment is paying off and resulted in a very positive Ofsted report.
“It is testament to the dedication of the governors, staff, students and parents.”
