FOUR men have been arrested in connection with a chip shop robbery in Accrington.

The men, all from the local area, were held over the weekend and have been bailed for further inquiries.

Two female staff at Plantation Chippy, in Plantation Street, were threatened with a knife as they cashed up at 10pm on Thursday.

Two robbers fled with cash.

Police confirmed that three men, aged 16, 19, and 24, were arrested on suspicion of robbery, and a fourth man, aged 20, was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
