A MAN was arrested last night in connection with the murder and kidnap of a Bacup man.

Michael Dunphy, 38, of no fixed address was arrested in Manchester on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap and murder of Paul Brady in 2009.

He was arrested as a result of an international warrant.

He will appear before Burnley Magistrates Court today.

In March Paul Devalda, 35, was found guilty of conspiracy to kidnap and murder Mr Brady, 44, and was jailed for life.

He was told he must serve at least 21 years in prison.
