A 37-year-old man had nine stitches after being punched in the face several times in a Burnley nightclub at the weekend.
Police said the unprovoked attack took place in Posh nightclub, in Ormerod Street, at around midnight on Saturday.
The man from Burnley suffered facial injuries and was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital by ambulance.
He needed nine stitches to a facial wound, officers said.
Police are hunting three men in connection with the attack.
One is decsribed as 6ft tall and was wearing jeans and a yellow jumper with blue and grey horizontal stripes.
