THE third phase of life-saving cancer treatment for six-year-old Madison Allan has been delayed a week.
The Lower Darwen girl has had a blood transfusion to increase her haemoglobin count.
Grandmother Alison Foster said: “Last week she was bouncing around, but then we noticed her getting tired.
“We’re hoping that this transfusion can top her up with energy and she can enjoy the rest of her half term.”
Madison, who suffers from a stomach tumour called neuroblastoma, will now start the third phase of the treatment next Monday in Manchester.
