BLACKBURN Rovers season tickets and a 42-inch television were stolen from a luxury home as the owners slept upstairs.

A burglar forced a window frame and broke into the kitchen of the large detached house in Links Lane, next to Pleasington Golf Course.

They went into the lounge and removed the £500 television off the wall, as well as taking a digital photo frame with family pictures on it.

The three Rovers season tickets also stolen were worth £400.

Police want to trace a man seen acting suspiciously in the Pleasington area, near to the Butler’s Arms pub.

He is described as white, in his late teens, 5’10”, slim, and wearing a light hooded top with the hood up, dark jeans and light trainers.

Sergeant Gary Hennighan said he was seen walking up and down people’s driveways and looking into houses on the same night as the burglary.

He said: “I would appeal for anyone who may have seen this man or any other suspicious activity or suspect vehicles to contact us. Residents need to be vigilant, particularly at Christmas time.”

The raid happened between 11pm on Monday, December 20, and 7am on Tuesday, December 21.
