YOUNG Burnley FC fans got to meet their Turf Moor heroes during a fun-packed festive party yesterday.
Members of the Junior Clarets turned out in their droves for the group’s annual Christmas bash in the club’s James Hargreaves suite yesterday afternoon.
Between 2pm and 4.30pm, club mascot Bertie Bee, Father Christmas and a children’s entertainer all dropped in, much to the delight of the youngsters.
Other activities included a quiz, disco and various party games.
But the biggest roar of the day came when manager Brian Laws and the Burnley first team squad, including skipper Graham Alexander and Chelsea loan star Jack Cork called in after training.
The players signed autographs on balls, shirts and posters and chatted to the youngsters, who took the opportunity to have their picture taken with their favourite Clarets stars.
And some of the footballers proved they had hidden talents when they joined the kids for a Christmas singing session.
The event was rounded off with a festive buffet and each of the youngsters were given a Christmas gift to take home.
