A SHOPPER has claimed he found a pornographic film inside a children’s computer game he bought from a Blackburn store.

Craig Sunter said he was shocked when the copied DVD fell out as he opened the box containing the hit Wii Sports Resort game.

He had purchased a pre-owned version of the Nintendo favourite, suitable for ages seven and over, from Game in the Mall, Blackburn.

The company said it had fully investigated the complaint and Mr Sunter had refused a £50 ‘gesture of goodwill’.

But the 28-year-old convenience store manager, of Alpha Street, Darwen, said: “When I bought it the manager looked in the case and sold it to me.

“But the DVD was down the side of the box. It had three films on there, and judging from the titles it was pretty obvious what they were.

“I am a 28-year-old man, but it could have been one of my nephews that bought it.

"It’s obscene and I have not received a letter of apology.

“I also want them to tighten up the whole checking procedure when people bring these games in.

"It was probably an accident, they receive a lot of these games in the run-up to Christmas.

“The whole thing makes me feel disgusted.”

Game said it thoroughly checked all part-exchange games it received. It did not comment on the outcome of its investigation.

A spokesman said: “We have very strict procedures in place dealing with the acceptance and re-sale of pre-owned titles.

"We are aware of Mr Sunter’s complaint, which was fully investigated at the time.

"He was offered a gesture of goodwill which he declined.”
