SCENE: Police at the scene of the crash
A THREE-car smash in Clitheroe caused traffic chaos for motorists this afternoon.
The vehicles collided in busy Whalley Road, near the Primrose garage, at 2.55pm.
The road was closed both ways while police and fire crews attended the scene.
Firefighters used specialist cutters to free one man from a car.
He was taken to hospital but his injuries were not serious, police said.
No one else was injured in the smash.
Police reopened the road at around 4.30pm.
