A BOGUS water board official has struck at a home in Ramsbottom.
Police are hunting a man who called at a home in Stubbins Lane, around 10.30am on September 15. He posed as an official at the home of a 69-year-old man but failed to escape with any cash, police said. The same man is also thought to have targeted a home in Malvern Avenue, Bury, the following day, walking off with £300.
The man is white, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5ft 9ins and 6ft tall, and well-built. He had short brown hair.
