POLICE are appealing for information after a £40,000 car was stolen during a burglary at a house in the Ribble Valley.

The black Range Rover sports car was taken from a house in Hollowhead Avenue, Wilpshire, overnight on Monday.

The car was taken from an insecure internal garage.

Detective Constable Will Biggar of Clitheroe police said: “The keys to the car were taken from the house at around 6pm the previous evening during a sneak theft.

The owners of the car did not realise the keys were missing until the car was taken in the middle of the night.

“We are keen to speak to two Asian males in a red Vauxhall Astra who were seen in the area acting suspiciously at just after noon Sunday.”
