SIX anti-social hotspots have been reported to police by worried residents in Helmshore.
Officers are now pledging a crackdown in Leicester Walk, the War Memorial, adjacent to Home Vale, Anemone Drive, Hyacinth Close, the railway line behind Helmshore Textile Museum and the area around Helmshore Road and Snig Hole.
Neighbourhood policing Sergeant Craig Leech said: “I am encouraged that people are coming forward to report these issues in Helmshore because now we can deal with them quickly, and that is what we will do.
“Anti social behaviour is something which happens all over the country, and though it is low in Rossendale, we must not get complacent.“We will be drafting in extra patrols from Rawtenstall and Haslingden on weekends into Helmshore targeting the specific areas affected by anti social behaviour.”
