THIS is the moment a driver was stretchered into an ambulance after being cut free from his car.
The man was freed by firefighters from his Renault Megane after a crash with another car on the A677 Bottomgate, near the junction with Newton Street, in Blackburn.
Two people from the other vehicle were also taken to hospital following the incident at 5.20pm yesterday.
The crash caused long rush-hour traffic jams into the town centre.
Firefighters had to remove the roof of the Megane to free the man.
Last night none of those taken to hospital were believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
An investigation is underway into the crash.
