ELEVATE, the East Lancashire Construction Workshop Project, is set to say thank you to the employers who made the scheme a success.
Clayton Park Conference and Learning Centre in Accrington will play host to the thank you' event for participants in the project, run in partnership with Lancashire Education Business Partnership tomorrow..
The partnership has been working with Elevate to promote construction careers in schools. A series of free workshops ran from October to February.
The project covered a wide range of opportunities from workshops within schools which were made possible by industry representatives to a site visit to the St Peter's Centre in Burnley, with Peter Forrest, director of Eric Wright Constr-uction.
Partnership chief executive Neil Mawdsley and Elevate East Lancashire's chief executive, Mike Steinberg, will thank the region's employers for their commitment to the project.
Nicola Parker, the partnership's project officer, said: "Without help and support of these industry professionals, the Elevate East Lancashire Construction Workshop Project would never have got off the ground.
"Their dedication paved the way to success."
