POLICE have moved to allay fears that terrorists were targeting BAE plants in Lancashire.
A national newspaper reported that an Arabic book and bolt cutters had been found near BAE Systems, Warton.
The paper claimed that terrorists were believed to be targeting the Eurofighter plane which is made at BAE's Warton and Samlesbury sites.
But today police said an investigation had concluded that there was no link terrorism.
The inquiry was launched after a book and equipment that could be used in burglaries had been found in a dinghy near Warton on February 2.
However, police now believe the dinghy had simply broken free from its moorings
