IN a market flooded with female singer-songwriters, Beth has always stood apart, thanks to her distinctive voice and "folktronica" sound.
Comfort Of Strangers, her fourth album, was recorded in two weeks.
It's a more stripped-back collection than 2003's Daybreaker, which some fans felt veered dangerously close to Dido.
At first it seems a little underwhelming, but it improves on further listening.
Released February 13, 2006.
