BELIEVE it or not, this is the former Kink's first solo album.
There's a dark undercurrent running through the album which adds to its appeal.
Davies spent a year recovering after being shot in New Orleans but surprisingly the songs were written before this traumatic event.
It's an interesting offering which will appeal to lovers of good songwriting.
