LOADED, the massive New Year's Eve bash taking place in East Lancashire, has secured a big-name headline act.

John Fitz, currently riding on the crest of a wave with the hit I Just Can't Get Enough, also had a hand in the summer smash I Like The Way You Move by The Bodyrockers.

He's coming to the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors, on December 31 for Loaded, which promises to be the swankiest NYE bash of them all.

The organisers behind it held a similar event at the De Tabley in Ribchester last year, and set the standard for posh nights out.

Jamie Harvey, one of the promoters, said: "John tells us he can't wait to come to the area for this event.

"He'll be headling so it's a real coup for us to get him."

John Fitz is also one half of Herd and Fitz, who've had several big tunes themselves.

He's been signed up to Subliminal records and has been across the world with The Bodyrockers this year.

Jamie added: "We've a great line-up of Djs playing, including many of the North West's best, so tickets are selling fast."

There will be four rooms on New Year's Eve, playing all sorts of sounds.

The Galley will be hosted by Jamie, alongside J Latham of Ampersands, Matt Rycroft of Sublime, Tom Wignall and a live PA from Catch 22. Expect an eclectic mix of funky house there.

The Urban Antics room builds on the success the brand has had across the North this year. DJ Adam Catterall will lead the hip-hop and R'n'B beats, along with Ben OC of Space, Danny G of Urb an Antics and James Morris of Baby Grand. Live MCs, beat boxers and breakdancers are also being lined up. In Underground, the tone is set by deep house grooves. 61 Players of Mindbiscuit will lead things, while Hi-Jaq of Frisco and the Philosophy Crew will be in there.

Then there is Soulfunk, in which DJs Dave Boyle and Gilly will be playing soul, funk and disco the right soundtrack for socialising.

The fun doesn't stop there. They'll be taking over the hotel on New Year's Day evening too, with two rooms, one of which includes a "Cream of Manchester" line-up of top DJs.

Tickets for Loaded start at £35 for NYE, while a full weekender including accommodation costs £125.
