Detectives are appealing for two men who helped a Czech woman get away from an Indian restaurant in Samlesbury.

Police believe the 20-year-old woman had been held against her will at the India Cottage in Cuerdale Lane, Samlesbury.

The men found her walking along the road and drove her to the Sir Robert Peel pub, Walton-le-Dale, on Monday evening.

Police want to speak to the two men, who were in their 30s, and are believed to be from the area. Neither of them are suspected of any offence. Anyone with information regarding the incident should contact Chorley Police on 01772 433561.

o The owner of the India Cottage restaurant, pictured, was one of five people who have appeared in court in relation to an international sex slave ring. Mohammed Islam, 38, from Hyde, owns the Daisy Tandoori Restaurant, Chorley, along with The India Cottage Restaurant, Samlesbury, which is at the centre of the investigation.

Islam was charged with trafficking persons within the UK for the purpose of sexual exploitation and false imprisonment at a hearing at Chorley magistrates on Monday.

Two other men and a woman from Greater Manchester were charged with people trafficking. Another man from Kings Cross, London, was charged with rape, attempted rape, and other sexual offences.

They were all remanded in custody pending a pre-trial hearing at Preston Crown Court, on June 5.
