A NEW solar-panelled youth shelter is to be built in Stacksteads in May.
The youth hang-out has been designed by youngsters in the area, in association with Groundwork Rossendale, Lancashire County Council, and Stacksteads Riverside Park Group.
The aim is to give teenagers a place to call their own after complaints they had nowhere to go.
Youngsters have also attended graffiti art workshops to help design the shelter.
