Scales Funeral Service, of Darwen Street, Blackburn, is collecting Easter eggs to donate to patients.

The eggs will be delivered to children in Blackburn Royal Infirmary at Easter.

Already thousands of eggs have been collected to donate to children across the country.

Jacky Nutter, community business manager for the company, said: "This is the first year we have taken part in the challenge and would like to be able to give an egg to every local child away from home this easter.

"We are asking people and businesses to support us in reaching our target. To help us make this Easter extra special for children please bring an Easter egg to our funeral home."
