AN abattoir in Colne has once again put forward plans to build a new sewage works at its site.
Woodhead Bros Ltd has applied to Pendle Council for planning permission to build the new plant at its Junction Street base.
Earlier this month the authority's Colne committee threw out proposals for the works, which would have helped purify sewage from its meat processing plant before it was discharged into the public system, because of the size of the development.
However, the firm has submitted plans for a 10 square metre works which would be accompanied by two tanks.
A decision is expected in April.
