BURNLEY are celebrating the news that Hunters Property Group have signed the biggest sponsorship deal in the club's history to extend their association with the club.

Hunters have agreed to pay an increased amount to continue as official club sponsor for a further year, with the logo set to remain on the Burnley kits and training gear throughout the 2006/07 campaign.

The original agreement between the two parties, signed in 2004, was due to expire at the end of the current season.

"We are delighted to have agreed another year with Hunters as the Official Club Sponsor," said Burnley FC commercial manager Anthony Fairclough.

"There have been a number of large companies and national firms interested in becoming our sponsor, but Hunters were pleased to increase their support of the club for another year and we are pleased to welcome them on board for another season."

Chief executive Dave Edmundson added: "Hunters Property Group have been an excellent and most supportive partner and I'm so pleased that they have recognised the value of their sponsorship and have agreed to extend the agreement for another year."

Keith Hollinrake, director of Hunters, said: "We are delighted to continue our partnership with Burnley FC.

"Over the last two years, our association with Burnley has increased our profile enormously not only in the north-west but across the country and the ambition of the football club and their growing success matches our own and creates a perfect partnership."
