Council tax in Blackburn with Darwen is set to rise by 3.6 per cent.
Ruling Labour members forced their budget through last night despite calls from opposition Conservatives to make more savings so there was no increase at all.
Its portion of the bill is rising by 3.5per cent to £767.89 for a Band A property, and £1,151.79 for a Band D property.
When added to the the police and fire precepts, a Band A property tax rises to £879.72 and a Band D property to £1,319.59.
