WITH five honking saxes, four screaming trumpets, four roaring trombones, a thundering rhythm section and vibrant vocals, a gig by The Cat Pack isn't for the faint hearted. See them at Burnley Mechanics on October 22.

The 20-piece big band will be playing swing numbers as originally performed by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jools Holland, Brian Setzer, Louis Prima, Peggy Lee and Ray Charles.

But there's something for the whole family in the show, with numbers inspired by modern-day artists including Robbie Williams, Jamie Cullum and Boyzone for the kids.

And the audience will also be treated to live renditions of some great movie soundtracks including James Bond and The Pink Panther.

The Cat Pack have supported rock 'n' roll legends Little Richard and Chuck Berry and have impressed critics with their booming sound.

The musicians have performed all round the country at major theatres and concert halls and have headlined many swing and jive festivals, including the Swing Cats Ball, the Colne Rhythm 'n' Blues Festival and Vegas in Edinburgh.
