Two Blackpool business people have snapped up the UK version of a major new photographic business direct from the USA.

Luke Helmn and Lorraine McLoughney are the first in the country to use the Photomax system - a new way of storing digital photographs online.

Using Photomax amateur snappers can get store pictures easily on line, order high quality prints and get photographs printed on a range of novelty items - even food!

Luke, a personal fitness trader, said: "Recent growth of digital cameras has brought new consumer demands. Believe it or not many people just save the memory card when it becomes full and then buy a new one, which is very expensive and means those images are rarely shared or enjoyed.

"The Photomax system allows you to upload the pictures onto your own website so they can be shared with friends and family and enjoyed forever. Sharing pictures from now on will be a snap."

Chartered accountant Lorraine added: "We're looking for others to build a successful direct selling business for themselves. Best of all, the relationship marketing aspect of Photomax allows executives to remain in existing employment or businesses if they wish.

"There is a great need for this new product and the potential is huge but the market is too big for just the two of us to handle, so we need motivated people with entrepreneurial flair to work independently and help us serve this market."

The system already generates sales of $1 million a month in the USA since it opened in April. Luke and Lorraine are now holding a seminar at Blackpool Sixth Form College on September 8 to recruit entrepreneurs to help them.
