YASIM Bari stole the show as Lancaster lorded it over Kendal in the Twenty/20 Cup on Friday night.

Lune Road professional Bari doesn't normally star with the bat - but his blistering 63 gave the Bombers the perfect opportunity to win the game with four balls to spare after Kendal racked up a formidable 149 in their 20 overs.

Kendal's strong batting line up were out of the blocks quickly with Mohammed Yasin making 33, while fellow opener Ikram Ullah carried his bat for 72.

Chris Glover managed to get the prized wicket of the prolific Terry Hunte for just 10 and Kendal went into a form of collapse with Ben Simm starring with the ball, finishing with the more than respectable figures of 4-25 from his four overs.

His efforts, and those of Glover (2-27), really turned the game on a beautiful night at Lune Road.

The fans were not sure if the Bombers could reach the testing target - and their reply got off to a terrible start.

With a brisk pace needed, Glover went without troubling the scorers - but that brought little light relief for Kendal as Bari went ballistic.

His 63 was breathtaking as the bowlers were peppered to all corners of the ground.

It was the pro's highest score of the season and he received able support from young Jamie Heywood who made 20.

And when he fell Lee Marshall and Simm steered Lancaster home.

Marshall finished unbeaten on 31, while Simm was 20 not out at the end as Lancaster roared to success.
