EDUCATION lobby group Ache - Action for Children's Entitlement - plans to attend county council budget meetings in a bid to discover exactly how decisions are made about education.
The group, which started in Leyland and hopes to spread to other parts of the county, also plans to lobby county councillors after next week's vital education meeting which will make recommendations on cuts in the 1996/97 budget. Spokesman Philip Warren said: "We want to see exactly where the money goes.
"After last year's budget, several concerned parents, teachers and governors had questions about how the money was being spent, so we formed Ache.
"We want to fight for education and this year we will be following the process through each step.
"We will also be meeting a group of councillors after the education resources and planning committee on January 9."
Anyone who wants to know more about Ache can contact Mr Warren on Preston 01772 421917.
