GREAT HARWOOD have called on Blackpool to help them out of their current predicament.
The Showground side has unearthed a talented left-winger in 20-year-old Roger 'the dodger' Wilkins, signed from Langho two months ago.
But the whizz-kid lacks stamina so boss Mick Higgins called on an old mate, Blackpool manager Sam Allardyce, to take over Wilkins' training this week to help build up his fitness.
"For the first 30 minutes Roger is unstoppable," revealed Higgins "But his lack of fitness shows after that. Hopefully, with Sam's help, we will all benefit from his training at Blackpool."
The boss will be hoping that Wilkins will be able to last the pace this weekend when Harwood travel to Leigh - Unibond League Division One's in-form side.
They are unbeaten in their last six games with four wins and two draws.
Higgins said: "That is the sort of form I am looking for from my boys. We had a good draw at Warrington last weekend so I hope we can build on that."
