AFTER reading your report about chain letters (LET, January 6) I looked up the one which I received before Christmas.
Both my wife and I are well into our seventies. My wife has been in a home for about three years and she is very disabled and ill.
I am also disabled with heart problems, so this letter did nothing to cheer me up.
I feel the person who wrote this so-callous letter must know something about me and my wife.
So if my breaking this chain brings me bad luck, so be it.
But on looking back we don't seem to have had much good luck, anyway.
