REDUNDANCY payments in the NHS have rocketed to more than £110 million a year, it was claimed today.

Labour said that the NHS had paid out more than £300 million for redundancies since the Tories' internal market reforms.

Shadow health minister Alan Milburn, claimed that Government policy was taking millions of pounds of NHS investment from patient care.
