I AM trying to locate a Mrs Eve Charnock known as "Mandy" and her twin sons Wesley and Thomas, who were born on 4.3.82 . I was the midwife.
They were featured in The Journal in March 1983 when they were about to celebrate their first birthday and had been made the youngest members of The Journal's "Lucky 13" Club.
The reason for their celebrity status was, of course, their stark contrast of physical characteristics and being dubbed as the "black and white" twins.
Would you please help me to locate this family again by making an appeal in your newspaper? If Mandy is willing she could contact The Journal office. I believe she may still be living in the area, although I have not known her whereabouts since she lived in Eldon Street.
I am a Leigh girl myself, being born, brought up and living in or around the town area until I emigrated in 1987.
