THINK of the name Dolly Parton and images of the busty blonde Country and Western singer spring to mind.

But to members of the Blackburn Rambling Association, there is another meaning.

Eight of them recently attempted the aptly-named Dolly Parton Shivering Mountain Walk in the Derbyshire Peak District.

The mountain was christened by the rambling association's walk leader David Casson.

He gained inspiration not only from Dolly's Gift Shop in the village of Castleton, but the formation of the hills!

"They really are quite curvy," David reflected.

According to the walkers, the mountain actually feels like it is moving.

Nearby traffic causes the eroded mountain side path to shake slightly.

And because the side of the mountain has worn away so much, the walkers say it looks like an earthquake from a film set!

On this occasion, however, the ramblers were themselves quaking as they shivered in blizzard conditions.

They will attempt the walk again in July.

Meanwhile, one of next season's rambles will be the Mad Woman Stones walk, officially named on the Ordnance Survey Map.

What will they come up with next?
